Inspired by [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=316299) thread, I thought, for the benefit of all you guys out there, we could share some lesser-known things that turn women on. There’s always the stereotypical fancy car, nice job, tall, dark and handsome (which work in some combination for some women, I‘m sure), but what women actually find sexy might be a little more obscure, like the hand thing referenced in the thread. Yes, it’s true – women are turned on by guy’s hands. You don’t have to do a thing with them, guys – no working them out at the gym, no special lotions – just the way guy’s hands are is a turn-on for women. Other things that guys are or do that turn women on – - a man reading can be incredibly sexy - a guy playing with his pet (cat or dog) - a guy shopping with his mom - competence in just about anything - enthusiasm People, anything else to add to the list of obscure turn-ons? ---

Guys in not-so-manly cars. Guys driving typical man cars like big pick ups or those new Chrysler monstrosities really turn me off - it is like they are trying hard to prove something. When I see a guy driving something like a New Beetle or a Mini Cooper - swoon! ---

Not necessarily in a grabby or sexual manner, but I like hand-holding and such. (Although, if I don’t find the guy attractive to begin with, this will make my flesh crawl.) Say my name. - It’s a cliché, but being good with kids, sometimes just holding a baby will do it. - A nice Deltoid insertion: not necesarily big, ripped muscles, just a nice dip in the upper arm. -Being stronger than me: opening jars, beating me at arm wrestling, picking me up and carrying me to bed, stuff like that. - Personally, I’m a sucker for big blue eyes and long eyelashes - Being clean around the house. Not neat and tidy, CLEAN. The difference between a tidy bedroom with month-old bed clothes, and a slightly messy bedroom with freshly laundered sheets. Or a bathroom with a scum ring and mildewed tiles, compared to one which is sparkly and smells of bleach. Clean is better. -Having one thing they’re really passionate about. Passion in one area leads to passion in others. And I totally got the hand thing…sexy man hands…lickable! ---

I find that you can’t go wrong if you rub their feet. Back rubs are good, too, but rubbing women’s feet seems to be the Great Overlooked Key to making them feel good. ---

I might be alone in this, but I find male pattern baldness sexy - with caveats: NO Combovers. Ever. The scalp must be well taken care of. No “tarantulas” I don’t know what the actual term for these is - the little tuft of hair at the front of the head, like a last, desperate cling to youth. Shave the thing off. There is a guy on the train whose head just gleams, and the rest of his hair is cut very short - something like Jean Luc Picard. The things I want to do to that man… Plus he has a jagged, v-shaped scar near the base of his skull that just makes it that much sexier. Daayum. And then, at the other end of the spectrum: long, wavy hair. Well groomed, not frizzy… Rowwr. Veiny arms. I don’t know why but yowza. Ditto for a vein in the forehead. I just find that incredibly attractive. A man who knows how to talk gently at the right times is also a big turn-on. It doesn’t have to be in a romantic situation, and it doesn’t have to be sweet nothings, but there’s just a certain tone of voice that gets to me. OK I’m done… Off for a cold shower. ---

I don’t know what turns other women on as most of the things in the OP’s list do little for me (shopping with mom?), but I can tell you the one thing that takes you from being meh to starring in some rather naughty dreams of mine: a wicked, twisted, somewhat sarcastic, just-this-side-of-naughty, sharp sense of humor. ---

My feet are so ticklish that any attempt at rubbing might result in a foot connecting reflexively with his jaw. Lots of folks have eye and hair color preferences (as do I), so going back to more quirky things - I like arms. Not too muscle-y, just enough definition to convey a sense of strength, even when he’s not doing anything that really requires it. Actually, I don’t even need to see the whole arm - shirt sleeves rolled up with forearm showing is enough. ---
