Was it just me, or could you clearly see her nipples? I’d expect this kind of skankiness from Rose McGowan, but not from an Oscar Winner. Ditto, Jodi Foster. ---

Gwyneth looked like crap. What was with the black eyeliner? Skanky dress indeed. Also, Jennifer Connelly managed to make herself look scrawny and plain - a good trick for such a beautiful woman. What a horrible dress - looked like it was made from rags. On the other hand, Halle Berry looked stunning as usual, and I was impressed with Nicole Kidman (again, as usual). ---

Whilst we’re cutting them down to size with all our combined sense of fashion and style (heh): Attention Cameron Diaz! Slipcovers are for sofas and ottomans. Not the Oscars! And if it’s not too much trouble, get your Walmart hair tie to actually match the dress in some form. Bright turquoise blue and oh, I dunno, whatever shade of red those man-eating flowers were, simply looked sad. Oh yeah, and get a hair_style_, since you went to all the trouble to get dressed and all. Thanks! ---

No, you could **not** see her nipples. That was a large part of the problem with that _thing_, whatever it was supposed to be. About the only statement that top made was “I’m not wearing a bra!” On the other hand, I thought that Cameron Diaz had a perfectly lovely dress. ---

Ditto to Cameron Diaz. Very original and beautiful. Finally someone who doesn’t give a damn about wanna-be’s. She sets her own trends. On the whole, I was rather dissapointed. Boring stuff. Except for Whoopie’s first outfit ofcourse.:rolleyes: ---

No, you couldn’t see Gwenyth’s nipples. Not that I would have wanted to. But, you _could_ clearly see Cameron Diaz’s nipples. Has no one yet mentioned the camera that was permanently focused on Uma Thurman’s breasts? Wow. Wowy wow wow. ---

Gwyneth Paltrow’s dress did _not_ look comfortable. I thought Cameron Diaz’s dress was gorgeous, but I didn’t really like her hair. I agree with **cazzle** about Halle Berry and Nicole Kidman … yum! ---

Eh… Gwyn did sort of push the envelope there. She usually looks so classy, too. Uma… good GAWD. When did she get those??? I liked Cameron’s dress, but the hair lacked a certain something (like a _brush_). In other thoughts… Faith Hill looked like she got in the way of a box of Lucky Charms with the stomach flu. Ben Kingsley had something crawling up his chin. Helen Hunt’s choice of attire was… odd. And I thought my eyes would spontaneously combust at the sight of Sally Kirkland. Hugh Jackman looked absolutely adorable, with the slightly crooked bow tie. And I just wanted to pounce on Ian… what a cutie he is!!! Wish he’d won… Does anyone know who that was escourting Sir Paul? With the little black lace thing? And who was the Asian-looking hottie that Nicole Kidman was hanging all over? ---

**käse** , I think there _is_ a trend in some places to let the hair look as if it was uncombed. She is not setting any trend, she is following one. Artistically uncombed…I dislike that. ---

Isn’t Uma the mother of a newborn now? What I mean to say is, FWIW, I believe she is probably breastfeeding these days, hence the “bustin’ out all over” look. They did certainly look about ready to pop out. ---

Seemed to me like lots of women had that crimped-bed-head hair. I don’t care for it, it’s too…angular or something. I thought Reese Witherspoon looked fantastic. Loved her dress. And I really liked Cameron Diaz’s dress, too, just the hair was yuck. Haller Berry looked great as usual. Jennifer Lopez’s hair was a bouffant nightmare. Jodie Foster looked beautiful. Marcia Gay Harden’s dress was terrific (I really loved her dress last year- wow!) Rene Zellweger looked…shiny. Jennifer Connelly looked so thin! Didn’t she have breasts before? Sigh…in _The Rocketeer_ she looked so beautiful. She’s still stunning but she lost that fabulous curvy figure. Gwyneth’s dress was not what I would have chosen, and she’s worn that black eyeliner since _The Royal Tenenbaums_. Non-fashion comments: Why the hell didn’t _Fellowship of the Ring_ win? What the hell?! And did Sharon Stone and John Travolta snort a line before they got on stage? ---

The ONLY reason I watch the Oscars is for the fashion and for the speech faux-pas. Dissapointing fashion night; nothing really stunning or heinous. Gwynnie was the high-low point, with the Goth Smack Addict look. There WERE a number of embarrassing and/or pompous speeches, though: Tom Cruise’s “what we do now is soooo much more important since September eleventh” spiel—oy! Think he advanced on his E-meter with that one? As for the awards themselves, who pays pay any attention to them? ---
