Okay. This is Son #2. Son #1 is 4 1/2 and thrilled to pieces. Son #2 was born 09:53 UK time by elective Caesarean with no complications. (He peed everywhere as he was being yanked out 😃 but that doesn’t count as a complication.) He’s now tucked in for the night, as is Mrs M who is receiving just the standard post-op care, hooked up to various drips, drains and catheters and is as comfortable as you get under such circumstances. I expect the drugs help. All being well they are both due home Sunday midday. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 ---

Weight 7lb 9oz, length ?? (haven’t measured him), a smidge of dark hair, hasn’t opened his eyes much yet. All the usual fingers and toes, he seems to like having his feet stroked and has had a creditable go at working out how Mummy’s nipples work. Hey, I need no urging to take care of my wife. For a curmudgeonly old sod I’m really quite supportive 🆒 ---
