On the Art Bell Parody website, I found a veritable litany of wacky stuff that evidently comprises a lot of the subjects that Art does his pandering on. IIRC, the list included a reference to HAARP, but there was nothing specific about what types of things Art allows his special guest lunatic of the night to accuse HAARP of. But I do gather that HAARP is on Art’s radar screen, along with MIB, black helicopters, crop circles, alien abductions, cattle mutilations, and so on, _ad infinitum_ (or is it _ad nauseum_?). Ah, HAARP. For those uninitiated to this wonderful topic, it can be best described as one of the following: A) A military program, costing taxpayers roughly $10-20 million each year, involving large arrays of antennas in Alaska to research military radio communications and the atmosphere. HAARP funding is not requested by DOD, it is a bit of pork added on each year by Ted Stevens, chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee and its Subcommittee on Defense. B) A massive secret government program with potentially disasterous consequences, from ripping a new hole in the ozone layer to allowing government mind control. Position B is best advocated by the book “Angels Don’t Play This HAARP.” Position A is best advocated by sanity.
