Back in the day I’ve been called all my sib’s names, but never a pet’s name. That’s cold!

I’ve been called my pet’s name by my Mom - she had to run through the entire list of bodies in the house before she would get to the right name!

I’ve done the same. To my kid, and to Mr Rebo!

Once, when we had family visiting, and they were getting ready to head out the door, my husband tried to get our son’s attention to say goodbye.

He repeatedly called for our son, louder and angrier each time, and was THISSSSS close to starting to really holler at the lad - when he realized he was shouting my brother-in-law’s name. “Young man, when I call you by your uncle’s name YOU’D BETTER LISTEN!!”

I have the theory that kids have three names to denote how POed their mom is. I mean, how many times have you seen this happen when you were young?

“Billy!”

“Bi-i-i-ly!”

“William Porter Jackson!”

“Gotta go, guys!”
