# Had brachytherapy Thursday, peeing fire. Due to recurrence of prostate cancer, I had 80 radioactive iodine “seeds” implanted in the gland. As I will be radioactive for a couple months, can’t hold my cats or small children in my lap, nor even hug my wife. Well, I can live with that, but the first couple of days when I started to urinate, it felt as though somebody had inserted a red-hot poker. I checked carefully, but nobody did. Doc says that is to be expected as a catheter was inserted for about an hour during the procedure. I believe this catheter probably had sharp barbs all along the length of it… The good news is that either the pain meds help, or it is gradually getting better, as I no longer emit an loud, anguished yell when the stream starts. My advice is to avoid prostate cancer. ---

Already the genitalia glows with dull red when I get angry. If I get angry enough, I expect it will move to a white-heat color, eh? The rest of the time it just glows with a restful LED sort of color. Not bright enough to ready by though. ---

Ah, yes. They had to “invade” in order to remove a kidney stone. I know what you’re feeling. It quit hurting, for me, in about 4 days. 'Course, on the fifth day the had to go back in and remove the stent they had placed to keep my ureter functioning while it healed. Back to square one. Here’s hoping you heal quickly. ---

So, the thread title is misleading. No actual fire. Just metaphorical. Yes, I am computer geek, why do you ask?
