I replaced the housing/head unit on my trolling motor. The mfr sent me a new one, but I had to disassemble and rewire the new one. Now I can get around my newly flooded basement in my canoe. ---

Let the record show that on Sunday morning at 1am I was taking a hot shower. That I plumbed myself. That I gave up on plumbing in at about 9pm on Saturday. At about midnight I realised I could use a tap as a converter from 1/2" to 3/4" to run the cold water line hard to the tap and then through a hose. It’s a camping propane gas water heater, so by running the water hose through the house to the back step (I’ve got a water line at the back of the house but the thread on the tap is worn out so I can’t connect the hose to it) and grabbing the propane cylinder from the stove I had a epic ‘hope no one can see me’ hot shower. ---

I got gas at the gas station I was previously boycotting for petty grumpy old person reasons. OK, I did it partly because I forgot to turn the other way to the other gas station which so far has not offended me, but as I did it, I felt like I was moving on and becoming a better, less petty person. Then I pulled the level to open the trunk instead of the one for the gas tank and had to make a show of meaning to do that. :o ---

**Mrs FtG** and I swim most days. One thing I like to do is swim underwater. I do a length and half+ in one go. (25m pool.) Both face down and face up (on my back, I seem to go farther that way for unknown reasons). This seems to impress some of the regulars who have commented on it several times. Did them today, but kinda of struggled. Last week I was almost up to a full lap.
