How’s _that_ for getting old? It was May 30th, and we still wouldn’t know if the church where we were married hadn’t sent us congratulatory card!:D:D:D:D:D The first time we were married on Feb 28th, but this one just slipped both our minds! We may do that, sure enuff. But we have to make up for this year, so I guess we’ll take each other out to eat and I’ll get her something nice and hopefully she will pay my membership dues for the gym I go to. (It’s only $30.00 a year for the elderly, and I guess that’s me!;)) Q ---

Zyada and I both forgot our fifth. The worst of it is that for our first, I found a pack of little heart-shaped magnets, and made a big heart on the front of the fridge, surrounding a bookmark with the date on it (a party favour from our reception). When she got home from work that day, she had to tell me all that had happened, while I was standing right by the fridge and doing everything short of yelling “Look HERE, you stupid bitch!” Finally she noticed, and the look on her face was wonderful! The heart is still up there. \<3 \<3 \<3 But neither of us noticed the date later on. ---

Way back when, I actually aged myself a full year. I had just turned 34 and somehow thought I turned 35…so for a year I told everyone, and actually believed, I was 35. It was only at my next birthday when someone born my same year said, “That makes you 35 this year…” and I realized I could now “add a year” to my life and be 35 again! I have no idea how I accomplished that stupid feat, but just thought you would like to know that even “young 'uns” at age 34 or 35 can screw things up and forget stuff. ---

Quasi, I always love it when I get flowers for no apparent reason vs. those that are for a specific event. As for remembering, my DH and I lived together for almost 30 years before tying the knot. We got married on my parent’s wedding anniversary as I thought that was a nice tribute plus I would remember. So far after (5 or 6?) years we have yet to remember the anniversary before it’s past. I think love is more important than anniversaries; apparently so does my DH and you and your wife! And here’s wishing you many more happy years! ---

Thanks, **John** and **kayT** and **DMark** cute story!😃 I used to ADD a few years to my real age, because my eyes are so damn baggy it makes me look older than I am. I don’t do that anymore, because I have the woman of my dreams, but when I was still single, it wasn’t unusual for me to say I was 45 when I was actually only 40, and I’d still always get a compliment that I don’t look that old!🙂 I think I WILL go for the flowers, **kayT**.
