Through women’s clothing And the handbag department You used to find books. (More or less true. In the 1950’s and 60’s, when my mother used to take me shopping in department stores, she’d let me hang out in the book department while she took forever looking at handbags. I don’t remember the spatial relationship of the departments, though, and it probably varied by store.) ---
