Sadly, _Muriel’s Wedding_ is little-known in North America. I saw it when I was in Australia, and quite liked it. Fun film, with lots of great Abba songs. When I returned to Canada, I told my friends about it. I was met with blank stares. But it did provide a springboard for Toni Collette, who went on to play the mother in _Little Miss Sunshine,_ and has done a lot of other roles in American productions. ---

I enjoy forgotten B-sides, deep cuts, unpromoted covers, as well as the second act of a one-hit or one-album wonder. The fun part is when I’ve been listening to 2-3 minutes to a song that sounds completely unknown, and then the hook drops.
