**Bezaftig**. I’m sure this isn’t the correct German(I’m American). Long story. I’ll try to make it short.

Sitting in an underground, afterhours bar somewhere in Germany. 3AM. On the next bar stool is Harry Muller(German). He’s been everywhere in the world. We talk. I’m ready to fall off my stool. I asked him what “shit-faced” is in German–he says something which I’ve always repeated as “bezaftig.” After he told me, I repeated it, probably a bit too loud. He cautioned me to hold it down. Not too polite, I gathered.
