I was glad to see this. Knowingly or unknowingly this company overcharged the American taxpayer. If it was knowingly, the company’s leadership should spend some time in prison, if unknowingly, they should have been more careful. I was surprised to find that noone had brought this up yet. When the facts came out that Haliburton did in fact overcharge, there were a few threads about it. ---

We had a fine, if somewhat tortured, thread going on Haliburton’s accounting problems back in mid-december: [Cheney’s Halliburton disaster continues, and Bush blunders again](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=228871) Of course the pentagon’s sudden decision to expand the DESC’s fueling operations into the civilian sector has _nothing_ to do with any perception of wrongdoing by Halliburton. 😉 ---
