Okay, I ran the idea by the hubby tonight and he said okay. If we can arrange for a babysitter, then he will be accompanying me. Since it sounds like there will be several Dopers from Michigan attending, maybe we could all carpool. I have a minivan that I can fix six people in to.

**Shadowfox,** that’s a great idea, but I’m still an Evil Pariah Dog [sub]smoker,[/sub] and I know that most of you aren’t. I’ll ride with anyone that’ll let me smoke, or stop every now and again for a smoke break. Or you can just strap me on the roof like a deer, where I won’t get in anyone’s way. I’m okay with that, really. 😃
As for restraints, **Juniper,** let me say this without giving away too much of my costume–I’ll have some with me. :eek:

You forget Persephone, my husband smokes two packs a day. My house, my car, everything I own smells like a Marlboro factory. The inside of my car smells like one big cigarette. In other words, I have no objections to you smoking in my car, as long as you don’t set the seats (or yourself) on fire. Then I would have to make you get out and walk 🙂

Can someone point me to cheap airfares? Now that my finances are turning, I may just be able to fly! I am still leaning towards spending 8 hours in a car with other Dopers, but it’s nice to have the option:)

**Miss Creant** , fares unfortunately have gone up a bit since I last checked. I should have booked a couple of weeks ago, but the whole “getting laid off” threw me for a bit of a loop, and unfortunately, it still does a bit. Anyway, yesterday I was still seeing fares for under $100 at United’s web site [http://www.ual.com](http://www.ual.com) - departing Friday evening, coming back late Sunday afternoon.
