Just so everyone involved hears me whimper about this once I’m getting it out of the way now.
I’m taking a class called The American Way of War currently. We have a free field trip to Gettysburg and Antietam. On the 26th of Oct. Unless manny is running on a much later schedule that I have been assuming, I’m going to miss this trip for OhDope. My own personal sacrifice.
As much as I love you people, this one hurts.
(manny, you were tsill planning on picking me up, right?)

**Juniper** , my dove, you _should_ be okay with them in checked luggage, but you could always call an airline and ask. Another suggestion would be to send them to Cols and pick them up there.
**MC** , if you get in on Friday, we could all (everyone else that will be pre-OhDoping) go out _shopping_, IYKWIM, and pick up whatever your little heart (and other parts) desires.

Hmmm, kinda _funny_ the way **MrBlue** says he won’t be able to make it then **Medea’s Child** says she can’t…downright suspicous, if you ask me. :shiftyeyesmiley:

Potential bad news, people. The entrance exam for the Dow Jones Newspaper Fund copy editing internship program has been scheduled for 10 am on October 27. This is easily the most important test of my life thus far. I’ve already set the wheels of “Pleeeeeease let me take it three hours earlier!” in motion, but if they won’t reschedule, that means no OhDope for me.
I have a good rapport with the test administrators, and I told them that I’d booked these tickets long before the semester began. I think I have a reasonably good shot at a special testing session. I’m hopeful.

I am not allowing any more subtractions from the guest list! That is an order!
Any life changes, emergencies, weddings, funerals, tests, medical exams, or any other LAME excuse will have to be routed through me on **MoA FormX29W-89** , in triplicate, using the correct OCR font, typewritten with a 1979 Hewlett Packard typewriter using a black government-issued fabric ribbon, with signatures from at least 3 Dopers in 3 separate states. Any misspellings or errors, poorly phrased excuses, or water marks from tears will result in the form being returned to you for resubmission. There are no exceptions to this process. Begging and pleading will only extend the review proces. Please keep in mind that not all forms for clemency will be approved.
