# Halloween OhDope! (that's right, Ohio!)

That’s right, I saw a [great idea](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?postid=1437167post#1437167) and I stole it!
I’ve been thwarted at every attempt at having an Ohio Dopefest (hereby known as: _OhDope_) as other more crafty and well connected Dopers planned their gatherings for weekends I was looking at.
No more, I say! Halloween in on a Wednesday this year, so I’m declaring Saturday, October 27[sup]th[/sup] to be the
_ **Official Halloween, Everyone-In-Costumes, OhDope.** _
Details to follow, but count on it being in Columbus and sometime in the Fall.

Okay, so what will it be? The Catholic School Girl? The goddess Diana (not the poster! 😛 ) I’m open for ideas here, people. I don’t think my husband would approve of my Dungeon Mistress idea so that’s right out. No hip boots for me. ☹ 😉
BTW, female Dopers, I’ve got a small pair of cammies if anyone is obsessed with the idea of going as a Marine/Army-type. No boots, however.

Hm. Well, as a minor myself, I may have some trouble convincing my parents to let me drive to Ohio, but Lord knows I’ll try. (I’ll refrain from using the term “DopeFest.” Just don’t think they’d respond well to that…)

The Ohio State University is located in Columbus and it would be a smashing opportunity for a forward thinking teen to check out future locations of higher education.

It’s a “garden tub,” not a hottub. It’s an oversized tub so it can only hold the first four or five of us that arrive, but the waiting area is my bedroom, so… Remember: _First served, first come._
