Well, after listening to everybody talk about it this weekend in Chicago, I am thinking about possibly attending OhDope. I talked to my hubby about it last night, but he didn’t seem very keen on the idea. I still have two months to work on him, but we will see. Just put me in the “maybe” list and we will go from there. ---

So, if I show up and we have to dress like our usernames, does that mean I have to walk backwards all night and pretend that I’m talking out of my ass? Well, okay, the talking out of my ass thing isn’t such a stretch, but still… Anyway, this might be an outside possibility for me. Depends on whether or not the state coughs up my overtime pay before Halloween. ---

Bunny, how many people are we up to? Think, what is the square footage of your place? I can it now… Think’s apartment building will collapse under the sheer weight of all these people bouncing off the walls. As he’s crawling out from under the rubble, an AP correspondent will overhear the words, “The rest of the Dopers aren’t going to believe this! It was like a bomb going off!” The Sunday’s NY Times Headline: “34 Die in Apartment Collapse, Worldwide Terrorist Drug Syndicate Blamed for Bombing” And in the side bar: “President Bush Orders Immediate FBI Investigation of Straight Dope Organization” ---

Well, my place is ~1,100 ft[sup]2[/sup], but the “main” is going to be at the clubhouse, so nya-nya-ne-nya-nya! Though I guess I suspect the secondary, aftershock party will migrate to either my place or the “spare” apartment, so I guess I’ll look into the structural thingies and stuff. **Bunny** and I were talking about the numbers so far and she said we’re around 40 or so. Pretty good for two months out, eh? I guess I’d better make sure I make plenty of _harry buffalo_. ---

Leave it to a ninny like **mrblue** to turn a perfectly innocent Dopefest into some kind of Doperdämmerung… Personally, I feel that the destruction of **think** ’s apartment complex is well within the realm of acceptable losses at a gathering such as this one. I mean, as long as we have fun, right? ---

Could someone tell me the date of this thing? I read through the whole first page and didn’t see it. I don’t think I can make it through six more pages… More than likely it’s the weekend after the L.A. Dopefest, and if that’s the case, there is no WAY I could do both, short of a lottery win or something. ---

It doesn’t bother him to let me attend these Dopefests. He trusts me enough to let me go. It is more a matter of finances. This Chidope I just attended was something we could not really afford, but I went anyway and now it is going to take us a while to catch up on our bills. I would really like to attend OhDope, but I’m not going to be able to give you a definite answer for at least a few weeks. I have to see how our finances are going to look. Okay, back to the gratuitious flirting ---
