Took 'em in for developing tonight. (Yes, some of us still haven’t caught up with the digital age, be it through choice or the lack of $300 to drop on a decent camera.) My costume this year was Kakihara, from Takashi Miike’s “Ichi The Killer (Koroshiya 1)”. Pictures when I get 'em. Seems I got a second costume out of it, too…I had to turn my hair blonde for Kakihara, and I was in a rush to get to work, so I swooshed it back into a quick n’ easy pompadour like I used to do Back In The Day™. Apparently, in doing so (and in wearing my trusty red silk shirt w/black leather jacket) I put on a pretty convincing Spike from Buffy; at least enough so that five different people at work called me on it. ‘Twasn’t intentional, I assure you. I didn’t go to any parties, but I won $50 at work for [EMAIL=http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a309/daithilacha/Zombie1.jpg]scariest costume! The one thing I didn’t anticipate was that the fake blood was REALLY sticky, and when it soaked into my shirt, it also adhered to my chest hair. The entire afternoon was spent with me slo-o-owly plucking out the hairs from my chestal region. Ah well – it made my glowering that much more realistic. She dressed up as your typical dead Asian horror movie girl (nightgown, long hair in face, you know the drill) and I went as an outdated party animal. I usually dress up as something scary but this year I was just coming up blank for ideas.
