Noise complaint spoilered. Well, it’s good that I have a day off. Unfortunately, since it’s a holiday, the neighbours are also home. And they’ve decided that it’s an excellent day to do loud, noisy yardwork with loud, noisy tools. So much for my plan of listening to nice quiet classical music today - looks like I’ll have to switch to rock music. _puts on a rock CD_ ---

spider **SPIDER\*\*\*\*SPIDER**!!! ON MY HAND!!! \ Got it tossed onto the floor, found the vacuum cleaner, and hopefully sucked it up. I think it was capable of jumping. And it was about as big as a nickel, maybe a bit larger (yes, including the legs). Spiders have their place, but NOT. ON. ME. \ ---

I’d point out that it’s 99.9% certainly not venomous, but I’d have the same reaction to a cockroach. And, yes, NewGuy has been more than supportive (he even took me to a nickel games place on Saturday and I either whupped his butt at air hockey or he let me win; whatever, don’t care.) My dad finally left a text message, so at least I know what the fuck he wants. **EmilyG** : bonus points if you put the CD on “repeat,” crank the volume to 10\*\* and then leave for a few hours. \*\* but it goes to eleven! 😃 ---

I am fully aware this is an unreasoning attitude, but I’ve been freaked by bugs ever since I woke up one night to a tickling sensation on my lips (which were framing my I-breathe-through-it mouth) to discover that there was a June bug crawling on them. ---

Don’t think he’s that well-known outside of Canada. And the noisy tools seem to have stopped. Maybe he made them stop. He has magical powers. Argh, I seem to have started a second dermatome - I now have rash wrapping around my leg as well as across my back. I think the antiviral is working, because the pain really isn’t that bad (at least not yet). But I am so very, very tired. This was not how I was planning to spend my week off. ---

OMG, I was there yesterday at this time! We went to this farm to pick apples. They do a lousy job managing traffic. It was a nightmare getting there and then leaving again. Yes, \, I will miss my Machine Learning class because you scheduled a mandatory luncheon an hour and a half away on a Thursday. It’s not even a huge deal, but what insane logic causes an academic funding organization to schedule a 3 hour formal attire lunch on a Thursday at 11AM in a town 2 hours away from one of the primary universities they fund? ---

I can usually manage my allergies at home with otc meds enough to not cause breathing issues but I’ve been thinking hard on this as I feel worse everyday over this long weekend despite upping the hand washing and taking my otc stuff and going back to my twice daily nasal rinses that I usually only do in the spring and come to the conclusion that this won’t work. It takes forever to get into the doctor’s and if I’m already feeling this crappy after a few days it’s going to get worse and I’m swiftly going to resent him and it isn’t fair to him when he deserves a good home with people who won’t be allergic to him. And I feel like shit for making this decision but not more shitty than I am feeling right now physically. ---

TheElf finally got ahold of me last night, seems he was having phone issues. He and his companion stopped over in Oxford on their way to London, which is where he probably is now. It’s such a small town, London. I’m sure one of you will see him. 🙂 He’s there for pleasure, so no boss to help chase him down. He has no firm itineray, so I never know where he’s going to be next. ---

I seem to have lost the ability to eat non-home cooked food - both Saturday’s Inidan take-away and today’s Italian lunch out have left me shitting through a straw fairly soon afterwards. Oh well. I could stand to lose a few pounds ☹ Oh, and my mother thinks it’s funny to tell my three year old “When a woman says No, she means Yes” ---
