And then you can start waiting for Halo 3. The reviews that are out say the ending is… (no real spoilers, but I’ll put it in a box anyway.) a cliffhanger. ---

Let’s just hope they didn’t turn multiplayer into an Unreal clone. Unreal has awful online play, I hope Bungie didn’t make the same mistake. Here’s also hoping that coop play (by far the best part of Halo) is also available online. And finally… I hope my power doesn’t go out tonight! ---

[Eight page review of the game](http://xbox.ign.com/articles/557/557509p1.html) will tell you most everything you need to know. I’m pretty geeked for this game, though I fear I won’t have time to play it as much as I’d like. Either that or all the more important things I need to do will take a back seat- and then I’ll really be screwed… Perhaps we should get a little dope-a-rific online game going? Ahh, the long-awaited Second-Coming of the Master Chief is finally upon us. I will, no doubt, be playing at midnight tonight. The only thing I’m worried about is the campaign being too short. A friend and I beat Halo in one night. I don’t want to read any of the reviews because I hate even the smallest spoilers, but do any of them address the length of the campaign? ---

You beat it in a night ?! Jeez louise. Bungie claims the campaign is twice the length of the original, though the reviewer thought it seemed about the same length. The estimated length to beat the game is 10-15 hours. Personally, it often takes me a lot longer to finish games than the given estimates, so I’m not so worried. And if it’s too short I can always ratchet the game up to legendary for a real challenge. ---

My friend’s boyfriend works for Microsoft in Australia. He won a mini competition in his department and got to play Halo 2 multiplayer. He got his copy of Halo 2 yesterday and has been playing it almost non-stop … ---

Halo is pretty much the only X-Box game that I own. I loved it and beat in in about 30 or so hours. 10-15 hours is double for me. It looks great and hopefully I’ll be able to get my hands on a copy on Wednesday. ---

Wow, it looks like Best Buy has come through. I stopped in after work to pick up something else and asked if they had all the pre-orders. They do!! Of course, I’ll still maintain some suspicion until I have my copy firmly in my greedy little mitts. I tried to bribe them with $50, but they were being all lawful and stuff. 😉 ---

Also, for what it’s worth, I wrote a HALO 2 day poem… Hehehe Twas the night before HALO 2 and all through the house Not a creature was stirring, except for my mouse The Xbox was open; a new game slot was bare In hopes that HALO 2 soon would be there The children were nestled all snug in their beds While reruns of “Red vs. Blue” danced in their heads And mamma in her teddy, her head in my lap Had just settled down for a long winters… uh… nap When out by the roof there arose such a ruckus I sprang out of bed to see what the drama was Away to the windows I flew like a ghost If it were a burglar they soon would be toast The moon on the breast (heh!) of the new fallen snow Gave all my optics lots of light by its glow When what to my wondering eyes should appear But a Pelican Dropship touching down quite near By cut of his armor I thought I was insane He could only be my hero, one “Master Chief” by name With retro jet fire he alighted like a doe Melting a swath through the new fallen snow “Now Marines!” He cried, “Lets do this on the bounce! Just let me drop off a copy for the fella’s house!” He towards my house and then crashed through the wall I could tell Master Chief was having a ball He was dressed in Spartan Armor, from his head to his foot With grenades, a sniper rifle and a rocket launcher to boot A bundle of HALO 2 discs were strapped to his back And he dropped one on the floor next to my gaming rack His work here done, he entered his ship Lifted up, paused, and then gave a slight dip “Sorry the release date kept on lagging… Happy HALO to all, and to all…. GOOD FRAGGING!!!” ---

My buddies and I, the quintessential “Friday Night Gamers”, have been drooling in anticipation of this momentous occasion. So much so that we’re getting together on Thursday night this week, just because we can’t wait until Friday. I don’t know my buddy’s xbox live info, other than he usually goes by Jester, I’m of course Ellis Dee, and the third guy is TEX. Just in case you happened to get mowed down by us, I thought you’d like to know it was another doper doing the owning. 🆒 We actively play Madden 2005, NBA Live 2005, X-Men Legends, Top Spin, Tiger Woods 2005, and pretty much all I see happening in the near future is a whole lotta Halo 2. I’d love it if it were a 3 player coop, but we’ll settle for fragging you hapless heathens online. 🙂 ---
