All right, since there’s yet ANOTHER [thread made for nothing but flirting](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=95178), to go with the other flirting threads that come and go, yea, with the reliability of the tides themselves. Here’s my thought…why don’t we just list everyone who gets mentioned multiple times in flirt threads (and they all protest - ALMOST EVERY TIME - that they’re shocked to be noticed :rolleyes: )? Note: I have nothing against any of these people, and think several of them are pretty cool. However, can we all just maybe take it as a given that these people are **going to be on peoples’ lists of people they want to do,** so that we don’t have to keep watching the same names pop up alla’ damned time? “So don’t read the flirt threads.” So don’t read mine. Well, after being named in the thread linked in the OP, I did express shock. And I _was_ surprised. But you can’t put my name on that list because I can think of several flirt threads that never mention me. Does this mean I’m not a “flirter”? WOO! ---

I _would_ post to this thread, but I stay as far away from flirt threads as humanly possible, so I don’t know whose name comes up constantly. Ummm… **Fenris** maybe? **Sue Dunhym** (sorry for the bastardization of your last name)? **Geobabe**? I dunno. I will never read a flirt thread as long as I live - that I promise you. ---

What does it really matter? We have: I hit 100, 500, 1000, 2000 – I have too many posts threads Too numorous to count Osama bin Ladin threads Gross things you do in the bathroom threads Gross things you do in public threads Appreciate “so-and-so threads” Ask the “insert name, profession, sexual preference, biggest nose-picker” threads So what Hama, pass by them, stand by your conviction that they are not worthy threads and not even give it a second look. The wheels of your world aren’t spinning around the Earth but your thinking is as such. These threads happen, they’ve happened before, they will happen again. I for one can’t stand such threads, as well as the others listed above. (I made one exception for MrCynical – Manervant herbaciousness, sorry hun your name will always be Brian or MrCynical) but I avoid the rest with best intentions not to get it to wad my panties. So rather than bitch about the obvious, find a thread you enjoy and support those. ---
