How is a project of that size and budget allowed to get that far into production before someone realises the entire feel of the film is wrong? ---

Hopefully there won’t need to be too much reshooting - careful editing can make a big difference (that, and removing all the “Yackety Sax” music cues). ---

I’m rather surprised at the directors who don’t seem to realize that Disney’s movie division, regardless of the nameplate the execs operate under, run a very tight ship. I mean, go for doing your own thing your own way; but it should be obvious that Disney will require you to do their thing in their way. ---

He’s certainly dropped in quality over the last 10 years or so, but I do hope that he can do a good job with this movie. I’m sure he is being paid well, but kudos to him anyway for stepping into a movie with only 3 weeks or so left in shooting. I imagine Disney will give him money for additional shooting based on what he and his colleagues think needs to be in the story. I bet once he looks at the movie as it is right now, he’s going to realize what a mess it is. I hate to say it, but I bet it is pretty bad. I think he can deliver an adequate movie, if not a good one. ---
