Musk yesterday commented on the protests for the first time. Apparently the protestors are just ignorant “puppets”, and the real problem isn’t the puppets but the “puppet masters” who control them. He didn’t specify who the puppet masters are. ---

We had about 1,000 people at ours, which is pretty good. Lots of cars honked in support, including one Tesla. The rest seemed to be trying to go past us as quickly as possible, though no one booed them, since people around here have bought them for years. (The manufacturing plant is in our town.) We did boo the few cybertrucks we saw - those people should know better. ---

As someone who bought a Tesla in early 2024, I am pleased that the hate is now explicitly for Teslas bought since around the first of the year and, of course, the trucks. ---

Thanks. They’re waiting to see whether anybody makes a fuss. And when the deported turn out not to be repeated violent criminals – well, gee, sorry, but it’s too late now, can’t possibly bring them back! (I will say that the article you link didn’t say that he said he wanted to have them kidnapped off the street, but that he said he loved the idea of having them sent there from prisons.) ---
