Forgive me if the subject has already been discussed, but I’m curious what kind of hangover cures people have come up with through experimentation, research, whatever. Personally, I take a hit of vitamin B1, a couple of goody powders, and a big ol’ glass of water, which usually works fairly well in most cases, 'cept for that horrendous tekillyagodiwishiwasdead throb. ---

Big doses of B complex before and after seem to keep mine to a minimum. Although last Sunday I wished I was dead more than once. Do not mix beer, hard cider, and home made, year old mead. It was ugly, and I was out of vit B. ---

For me, salty foods that also have msg in them, washed down with Cran-Grape juice. That makes me feel soooo much better. Top contenders: Nacho Cheese or Cool Ranch Doritos Pork Fried Rice Ramen noodles. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM ---

I’ve always been a fan of two asprin washed down with a bottle of Gatoraid. Even if I puke it back up, it works for me. Usually, though, it stays down. Actually, I haven’t needed to test this one since my Navy days. OTOH, time also works pretty well, also. ---

Just drink vodka with no chaser and not mixed with anything and you won’t get a hangover. Or at least I don’t. The worst I’ve ever had is about a 15 minute headache the next morning. ---

Prevention being better than cure you should, of course, drink at least a pint of water before you go to bed. If I’ve forgotten to do this and have already got a hangover, I always use the standard British cure of _bacon sandwich with brown sauce + half a pint of lager_ (whatever you were drinking last night). Works even better if these’ve been cooked/poured by someone else. ---

The fizzy-make-it-better stuff: Alka-Seltzer XS. Boring, but works a treat for me. Afterwards, can of cold coke and fry up (sausages, beans, hash browns etc etc) ---

Has anyone tried[this.](http://www.friedlin.com/underberg.html) The wording doesn’t specifically recommend the product for hangovers, but it’s recommended for ‘over-indulgence’. I’ve tried it and it worked for me. ---
