Someone openly admitted to making things up in the Election forum, and there has been no sanction, not even a note. How does that NOT violate the previously quoted portion of the RA? ---

You’re trying way too hard here. Seriously, that’s no where near what they had in mind when they designed a rule against making things up. I’ve seen people talk about purple unicorns, zombies, chupacabras, and heaven knows what else here. You want to report them too for making stuff up? I think I understand why the mods didn’t act on your report, and it’s not because they didn’t see it. ---

He made up a descriptor, which he believes is accurate. It’s not out of the realm of possibilities, so the idea that this was posting stuff known to be untrue is nonsense. Keep in mind that “knowingly posting stuff that is not true” is a very difficult rule to enforce. I think I’ve usually seen it enforced along with “being a jerk” or 'hijacking a thread" or the like. But it has been enforced. ---
