# Hank Williams SR. Or Hank Williams Jr.?

Whoa! Jus’ a dab-gum minute here, pardners!

Okay, am I to understand that _everyone_ on this board is old enough to actually remember someone whose died in the mid 50’s? I mean, I’ll take your word that he had accomplished a lot in a short time and revolutionized the genre (so did Bob Marley, come to think of it), but how many of you actually have the music for a direct comparison?

Explanations. Details. How Hank Jr. “lived off his daddy’s name”. (For the record, I never even _heard_ of the guy until that one Monday Night Football game.)

_Sigh_…Sorry, I just find overwhelming consensus fishy as hell, especially on the SDMB.

Seriously, where the heck is this coming from? I don’t even want to ask what any of you think of Garth Brooks or Billy Ray Cyrus…

(_Kenny Rogers?_ My _dad_ has nearly every album he ever produced.)

Hasn’t _everybody_ heard Hank Williams? He did record, you know. Even those who haven’t heard his records will have heard other people do his songs.
