Heck, no. We were instructed to eat the entire cake **right then and there** , because it was an ice cream cake. Of course, we noted they have these new inventions called “freezers,” but that didn’t sway anyone. ---

I didn’t make any wishes. I spent a lot of yesterday driving and preparing, and today we had a different birthday party - my nephew’s first. Lemme tell ya - there were about 120 people there. Not a small gathering. I’m sleepy now. I decided to take off from work tomorrow, which I can do since I’m not taking a vacation this year. Thanks, **Maureen, Bumbazine, Ladyrose, and Blonde**! Was that keep you posted, or keep posting? Ah, whichever. I bet I handle it. I’m grateful it comes but once a year. I’m grateful that it’s almost directly opposite Christmas in the calendar. I’m grateful I got to play with my nephew today. I’m grateful that I’m much more accepting of birthdays now than I ever was. And I’m grateful for you guys. ---
