I found this in some papers from when I graduated from elementary school (about 1995): “…He is miled mannered and sweet but possesses a quirky sense of humor. He continually reminds me that the Social Studies movies we see are definitely of the Mystery Science Theater 3000 variety, and he looks forward to sitting in front like Joel and the Bots, Tom Servo and Crow.” And now, almost 10 years later, my obsession continues. I think I’ve mentioned this before, but I find that the episodes are even funnier when you watch them the second time! At first, I think, it’s because sometimes I’m so disturbed by how BAD the movies are. Like the first time I saw _Space Mutiny_, it was mentally painful to watch. After that, a laff riot. ---

What? Not liked Space Mutiny? How can you not love a film with Captain Santa, the world’s oldest teenage girl, and Biff McHugelarge? (Not to mention, of course, the greatest scene ever captured on film – the death-defying floor-waxer chase!) Yes, **Thea** , MST3K remains on Sci-Fi (no new episodes, just repeats). Just last weekend (not this one), I caught “Girl with the Gold Boots,” which I hadn’t seen in a while. “Here – come into my dimension.” –Cliffy ---

I’ve occasionally had the experience of spontaneously producing the same quip as Mike, Joel or one of the 'bots, at the same moment. Example: while watching (I think) _Secret Agent Super Dragon_, Tom and I both said, “Hey, it’s the Old Spice guy!” Not the wittiest remark in the world, but it made my day. ---
