Today is Wes Anderson’s birthday!

Or perhaps I should say, it’s…

_ **Wes Anderson’s birthday.** _
_ **Wes Anderson’s birthday.** _
_ **Wes Anderson’s birthday.** _

There’s never really been any other director that I can think of, who used a combination of color palettes, costumes, scenery, and overall aesthetics, to create such a sense of immersion and “world-building” in each one of his films. Nobody else is capable of turning each movie into a self-contained comedy of manners that’s emotionally touching at the same time. If there was one entertainment figure who I could sit down and talk to for an hour, it’d be Wes Anderson.
