Looking’ specifically at **Leo Bloom** , just because… you know… who is and all. [113th anniversary](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloomsday), this time around. I found a [centennial thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=261843) (thanks Google) bud judged it wrong to resurrect it, 13 years on. ---

Somewhat interesting: In The Tick cartoon series he fights a plant based villain named El Seed as he attempts to take over the world in an event he calls Bloomsday. I can’t decide which theory I like better. That it was a coincidence, or it was a reference. ---
