And the newbie gets her ibook & umax scanner finally configed. I’ve had it 8 days, my tech headed friend came by and sorted it all out for me. Let’s all happy dance !!! I was so tormented by a scanner that would function but wasn’t going right, not quite anyway. Oh man was I lost, I was getting ready to return the scanner even though it was providing me with hours of amusement. Happy Dance, everyone, around my lovely blue ibook. This is a wonderful thing for an elderly newbie such as I. Join me, please, put down your drinks and happy dance, everyone!! ---

I have been scanning wildly, I have access to virtually free ink cartridges for the printer so I’m away to the races, my desk is covered with paper and my diningroom is littered with opened photo albums, from which I have extracted every bad snap shot I ever took, which I scan and fix and enlarge and, well, it’s almost too much fun. Wait, I feel it coming over me again… HAPPY DANCING TO AN OFF BEAT ---

Oh man, I’m bummed, the scanners not configed correctly after all. How sad I am. Called my techie friend and through myself at his mercy, he’s going to try to stop by on the way to his bank. I’m turning my radio to the all blues station… It’s a hard life for newbies, nothing but confusion and mystery. What could it mean: ‘The requested acquire module could not be found, make sure it is in your plug-ins folder.’ Not to worry, I’m certain my friend can find the problem, I may be a newbie, but I am tenacious… stay tuned.
