Might as well throw one in to kick off 2020… Friday marked the 11th anniversary of my arrival in Sweden, and the first one that saw me (finally) the bearer of both Swedish citizenship and a Swedish passport. It ain’t been easy, but these days I have a sweet job doing something I’m freakin’ good at, my own place, and a life I’m actually pretty satisfied with. A guy could do worse at 50 for sure. ---

Eight years ago today (7/30/12) we closed on our house. With perseverance and a bit of extra income from a rental property, we managed to pay it off back in June! Next month marks five years since my thyroid cancer operation, so I’m half a decade cancer-free! ---

This week is my 25th anniversary with the same… employer? I can’t really say “company” since it has been bought and sold and changed names four or five different times in that span. But my employee ID is essentially the same as the day I started. ---
