Talk about spooky coincidence. The day after this subject came up on a previous thread, Los Angeles Channel 13 (KCOP) aired the _Seinfeld_ festivus episode. ---

Got our annual Festivus party tonight. Huge 8-foot aluminum pole from our marquee tent. Tried two weeks ago to get some Ben & Jerry’s Festivus Ice Cream (not available here) ordered in as a surprise; hasn’t arrived. Unless there’s a Festivus miracle in the next 12 hours, at least I’ll have something to bring up at the Airing of Grievances… ---

Well, _my_ grievance is that NO ONE I know is having a Festivus party. That’s so awesome! Harrumph. I’ll just have to throw one myself - next year. That would be cool. ---

I have my Festivus pole up at work, and I’ve started the “Airing of Grievances” in a Livejournal community I belong to. Later on today will be the “Feats of Strength”. Happy Festivus everyone! ---

Wow, I’m such a dork. I could pretend to have known that this was all made up, and go on my merry way, but I have to pop in and say, that ever since I’ve heard of it, I’ve thought it was some old druid(ish or something) holiday that was gaining popularity as an alternative… gah. ---
