My favorite part of this time of year is the smell of manure everywhere I go as the landscaping companies fertilize everything. Yummy. ---

There’s no logical basis for calling the Vernal Equinox “the first day of Spring”. Obviously, in Wisconsin, it’s not Spring yet. Here in Atlanta, it’s been Spring for several weeks already. (What’s “snow”? I forget.) ---

The radio this morning said we might get as much as 13 inches before the storm passes through. We had already broken our seassonal record snowfall long before this storm. I thought Wisconsin would be a beneficiary of global warming. Too bad for the coasts and the deep south, but I never like them much anyway. I have been misinformed. ---

Whittier, AK, which is just on the other side of the mountains from us, got 43" of snow over the past two days. ---

We have 4 to 8 inches of white stuff on the way. The weather sucks. Ducks waddling across frozen ponds. Frozen ground and no animals for my beagles to track. Oh joy .I get to walk them in the snow some more. ---

It’s nice here. Like 75 degrees no wind, just a light breeze. Reminds me of high school, bottle of boones farm behind the bleachers. Maybe a pinter, for sure skunk weed. Then off to third period literature class to laugh my ass off. ---

Well, this was a great Winter for us. Only snowed one day and even that was only about an inch of slush…of course I haven’t used my snow blower in three years, but hey, I can’t really complain. My real concern is that usually by early March I’m wracked with Spring allergies, but nothing…yet.
