I didn’t do anything yesterday for Groundhog day, which is fairly meaningless here. But I did sing last night at a lovely mass for the feast of the Purification. ---

I had a sausage for lunch (it was probably beef, to be fair) and then will probably watch bits of the movie tonight, which I’m sure is on heavy rotation somewhere on cable. We’ll probably get six more weeks of “not quite summer” here regardless. Anyway, GHD is one of my least favorite ex-boss’s birthday, so I might have a drink and silently curse the weasely bastard! **Twicks** , we need a pic of you in that shirt. ---

I have not, nor will I be celebrating this _Ground Hog’s Day_. However it is the holiest day of the week, being the All Father’s Own Day. It is not yet theseason for sacrifice, but I think I may dedicate nine beers to the one-eyed god of kings and king of gods. ---

Six more weeks of Winter? Punxsutawney this, you furry fuck. I just learned this morning that we have our own hometown version of rodent weatherman - Windy City Woody. He’s a woodchuck, which according to local morning news is the same as a groundhog. Sounds like a Cecil ? to me, but I don’t have the energy to question at this point - have to hit the sack and begin hibernation. See you when the frost thaws in April… ---
