He sees the vet in a week for his last shots. I’ll talk to her about it. And I may enlist some professional puppy training help, too. I’ve never had to do that before, but as needs must. \< mirthless laugh \> They’ll probably tell me to put a soft muzzle on him. ---

Get him a Kong toy. They come in sizes. My super chewer loved them. ---

Oh, yes. He definitely loves his kongs. He’ll work on them for hours. Then will immediately start chewing something forbidden the minute second my back is turned. I think he revels in being a naughty dog! ---

Sounds like it. Kindergarten may be in his future. But they always grow up and mellow some. I figured the terrible twos of puppyhood can’t last forever. Except… Dachshunds are a special breed. I’ve heard tell. Good luck. ---

Thanks. 🙂 I think I’m going to need it with this one. I was super spoiled with my last little fellow. He was so easy to train and his feelings were tender. Once he worked out what you wanted, he’d do it and gladly. Ollie is the Dark Angel. You can just see it in his face: “Does this irritate you? How about this? Here, let me do it again!” Right now, he’s snoozing happily under a fleece with his little pointy head resting easy on my thigh. The moments that make it worthwhile. Or so I tell myself!! ---

When we learned that George the kitten was not smart enough to figure out what we wanted, we outfitted our home with these to give it that special industrial look.
