Strange. I usually hear only good things about Green Tree and their amazing efficiency, rock-solid ethical standards and stellar customer service.

I don’t know anything about this company, but I have a sudden desire to never have anything to do with them. You wield the irony baton with great grace and subtlety.

Oh yeh its srsly creepy the stuff they know without ever having divulged that info.

When I activated my AMEX card recently I had to go thru the same thing: they asked me which professional license I currently held. Thats not something I put on my application for AMEX Im quite sure! With your SSN they can pretty much tell your entire life Im sure. And one hack and there goes your identity. Im thinking of getting rid of credit cards but then the cell phone thing …

I have Consumer Cellular and its never a hassle and they have decent plans that you can change anytime you feel like it. No complaints.

At least they’re watching, which is good.

The reason I asked…I’ve owned several Linksys routers, wired and wireless. Toward the end of their lifespans, each one got to the point where the internet connection would cut out every 24 hours or so, requiring a hard reset of the router (unplugging it). I switched to another brand a couple of years ago; it rarely needs restarting. When it does need a restart, a soft restart (using the built-in software) usually does the trick.

Thanks for the info, **Jeep.**

Anyway, my dad said to plug a blue cord into my computer, and then my computer wouldn’t rely on the wifi aymore. So I found the blue cord and plugged it in, and so far, so good.

“Dear” gas station attendant, when a customer advises you that there’s apparently something wrong with a pump because a car that arrived with a gauge reading 1/4 full and a 14-gallon tank really should take more than 4.6 gallons to fill up to the point that the pump refuses to dispense more, the correct response is NOT to laugh and tell said customer she probably hit her available funds on the card she used for payment, since she knew very well she had more than 10 TIMES the necessary funds available to COMPLETELY fill her car.

The car is now at 1/2 tank, which will be sufficient to get it through needed trips in the next two days and finding another station to complete the fill. A complaint has been duly filed with the relevant company, and another station will get our business hereafter. There are two more at that very intersection, and an abundance of others along routes that will be taken in the near future.

Well, thanks Target, someone tried to use my Amex card in Fort Lauderdale (why is it always Florida?). Fortunately they caught it as a fraud, and now my account is shut down until my new card arrives on Tuesday. Oh well, at least I can stop worrying about that card.

There’s also my debit card though. I’m keeping a very close eye (as in daily) on my bank account. I guess I need to do that for a while yet.

_ **Thank you!** _ Please check your CD drive for my shipment of much gratitude and good things sent your way!

(It’s not too late, btw. One reason why I have specific weeks I pay bills is so I get them in well before the due date.)

Because, as the great philosopher Homer Simpson said, Florida is America’s wang.
