I have returned from Food Lion with (among other items) a \ butt \, some ribs, and some brats. The smoker is pre-heating and the non-brat meats have been rubbed with our favorite rotissin’ rub. The water pan has some apple cider vinegar mixed with the water because that sounded yum. Once it comes up to temp, I’ll have to open it in the COLD yard, but I know what’s going where, so no biggie. I will have to remove one rack, tho - Guess I shoulda done that while it was cold. Oh well… It was a good month at the store - my check was a whopping $94, and I sold some pottery that I’d had around here forever - it was a pair of cobalt blue pieces that I’d made in my first or second class way back when. So yay! \*\*FCD \*\*called to say he’d be working all day. He didn’t sound too sad, and it $$$ so there’s that. He hasn’t been there long enough to have accrued any vacation time and today would have been an unpaid day off. That leaves me without adult supervision. And I just bought some half-n-half. And I have Kahlua and amaretto. How early is too early for Toasted Almond?? 😃 ---

Give it time **Rosie** The year has no where to go but up. So all y’all domestic Gods and Goddesses my bedroom is kind of big, not huge, just bigger. I have my bed which is not part of the set and a dresser with mirror and two nightstands to match that. Between that and a nice sized closet I have enough space. However my room looks empty. I need to get something for my TV which is on the dresser and it really doesn’t work there, but I will still have room. I’m debating buying the matching chest of drawers. I don’t need the space but I’m afraid if I don’t buy it soon it may not be available later. Who knows, maybe later I will need more storage space, maybe not. So I guess the question is, would you buy a piece of furniture you don’t really need just to fill up the empty space and because you might not be able to buy the matching piece later? Or would you wait and see if you ever really need it? ---

\*\*sari \*\*- if you can afford it, get it. It’s been my experience that a chest of drawers is almost always a desirable storage unit. Think out-of-season clothes, linens and spare towels, craft items, even books and papers, if they’re not too heavy. To my mind, it’s more versatile than a shelf unit, and having everything match is a good thing. ---

Only six people in our side of the building at work, today. I think I’m technically in charge of my section. I’m kind of in OMG mode in the back of my mind because I finally got entered into an intensive online short story class late last night. Class starts at seven tonight and goes through the weekend. There’s homework that I have to do before it starts. I’ll get more a-twitter as time passes. Good thoughts to everyone for 2015. ---

The smokin’ of meat products calls for the drinkage of adulterated beverages. Thus, a toasted almond would be not only appropriate, but _required_. 😃 ---
