The Chatham Islands has just entered the New Year of 2006, and we on the New Zealand mainland are about 4 minutes from doing the same. Have a great 2006, everyone! Thanks for being such a wonderful community to belong to. See you in the new year! 🙂 ---

Just heard Dick Clark announce the new year in New York (and, by extension, Lafayette) for what could well be his final time. Happy 2006 to the **Dopers** who celebrated the ringing out of 2005 several hours ago, those now joining the party, and those still “stuck in the past” for the next hour, two, or more! ---
