[Today is 02/02/2020](https://www.cnn.com/2020/02/02/world/palindrome-day-february-2-2020-intl-scli/index.html), the same when read forwards and backwards. At just after 2 a.m., it was 02:02:20 on 02/02/2020.
The previous palindrome date in all formats came 909 years ago on 11/11/1111. The next will come in 101 years on 12/12/2121 and after that there will not be another until 03/03/3030.

And it works in ‘proper’ unambiguous year-first format, too! 2020-02-02!

I feel a trick was missed with the word “palindrome” not being palindromic. We already have suitably titled conditions such lisp, lallation, rhotacism and dyslexia. At least there’s aibohphobia.

It means an irrational fear of palindromes. But I think it was invented humorously and would not be found in the OED.

Missing something in that date-time: 02:02:20.20 02/02/2020
Of course, if you change it to date-first y/m/d, the time changes to after 8 o’clock tonight: 2020/02/02 20:20:02.02

That’s what he means by “all formats”: It works in American, unAmerican, and ‘proper’ formats. And note that Dec 2 of next year doesn’t work for everyone, it only works in American and ‘proper’.

Reminds me a friend who planned to retire on Feb. second 2002 since it would be the same in every format. For some reason it was delayed till April.
