Because 40 years ago today Yuri Gagarin became the first man in space. 20 years ago Columbia made the first shuttle flight.

and oh yeah, **Bad Astronomer’s** website is mentioned today in the Globe and Mail, Canada’s oldest national newspaper.

But I only care about that because
