I like the scene of mead drinking in The Thirteenth Warrior. Since the guy is Muslim he turns down drinking, but is informed that mead is made from honey, not grain or grapes. So he drinks! ---

In the office at 8. No sign of the Sun. Ice fog is diffusing the Christmas light from the decorations on the street poles, so it’s cozy looking. Will get a heavy hoar frost on the trees in the park. ---

The thing that get’s me most is the early sunset. However, we got the earliest sunset a couple weeks ago. OTOH, we have a couple more weeks to go before the sunrise starts getting earlier. Elliptical orbit. What a bummer. (Perihelion is Jan 4th. You can almost feel the tremendous extra heat, amIright?)
