Receive: I know it’s the poster child of " i before e" , but I always have to think twice before writing it. Same with “weird”… Weird and Damn, I’m edumacated enough… Oh, and Tomorrow, I always want an extra M in there. ---

Enmity - I reversed the N and the M, both in writing and in speaking, until someone here pointed it out and I nearly fell off my chair. Acquire and acquiesce are both tricky, but having been eliminated from a spelling bee by the first, I now auto-correct. Calendar, lavender, and amethyst. ---

I’m the dictionary for the family (seriously - it’s freaking annoying), but I have a few words I always misspell definite potential restaurant vacuum …and others I can’t think of now. Thank god for Firefox’s spell check. ---

I’m a great speller, and a lot of the words listed in this thread get the best of me. I just never took the time to memorize them, I guess. Here are a few more that are often misspelled. Knowledgeable roommate aesthetic ---

Meh. I’m dyslexic, so everything looks misspelled to me at first. In fact, the only way I know I have spelled “weird” correctly is that it looks totally wrong to my eyes. ---
