When would the secret service arrive at the selected governor’s home? I would think there are media camped out in Harrisburg and St. Paul, watching with binoculars and telephoto lenses, no? ---

The last step before officially announcing will be personal phone calls by Harris to the candidates not chosen. But they probably don’t really care about leaks at this point. ---

Yeah, leaking something that affects a stock price might actually matter. Leaking who is going to be announced as the vp candidate tomorrow? Meh. And we don’t really know until it’s announced. ---

Ugh. I still don’t know who I’d want her to pick. Walz is your everyday-man. Well loved. Shapiro is my last choice. Wish it were Kelly, but Walz may be the right one… GAH! ---

So I read a (half joking I think) tweet to the effect that Harris deliberately let Shapiro become the favorite so that when she picked Walz there would be a massive burst of enthusiasm among the progressives who were resigned to Shapiro. She is in fact, unlike the false rumors regarding Trump doing so, actually playing 12D chess while the rest of us are playing checkers ---

I’ll take Walz. Heck, at the end of the day I’d take Shapiro - he has his upsides. All of them have pros/cons and you can’t be a slave to analysis paralysis. There will be plenty of time to debate the Harris campaign choices in 2037 when we’re all hunting rats in the bombed-out post-apocalyptic landscape of the Trump Imperial Co-Prosperity Sphere 😉.
