It looks like he pulled off a very impressive emergency landing. There isn’t much space to work with because he was right in the middle of a residential community. The golf course was a lucky feature but still not that big in that area and has plenty of trees and a fence that have to be dealt with. It also sounds like his injuries aren’t very serious either. It is a shame that a beautiful plane got mostly destroyed but it could have easily been much worse. I hope he heals up very quickly. ---
