A hidden street selling magical stuff in the US (I can’t recall the street name in _Potter_) would certainly look like Walt Disney’s Mainstreet USA.

Very turn-of-the-century. Turn of_last_ century, that is.

Possibly Scandinavian influence, from the old immigrant populations.

Well, it’s important to hide the schools of magic. So there’d probably be one up in the U.P. I mean, come on. Would you look there?

Would American Wizards be bound by the U.S. Constitution? Because Dementors would definitely constitute cruel and unusual punishment, I’m thinking. Would there be a minimum wage for house elves?
