Of course Harry Potter’s gay! In fact, the whole series can been see as a “coming out” metaphor! Evidence: - where do we first meet Harry? Under the stairs. In the _closet_. - The bland normality of the Muggle world (esp. the Dursleys) is contrasted with the “secret” society of extraordinary wizards - “You’re abnormal!” is the charge levelled at Harry by his Uncle - Hogwarts robes are purple and violent (shades of lavender?) - the wizarding world has its own language and customs (cf. polari) that Muggles just don’t see - Before Harry’s acceptance into Hogwarts he’s preparing to attend Stonewall high school! - As Harry matures his increased magical potency mirrors his sexual develpment - he learns to use his “wand” more effectively!
