# "Harry Potter" Music

Has anyone else noticed that the main “Harry Potter” theme sounds very much like the main “Schindler’s List” theme? Is John Williams running out of ideas or what?

Heh… I was actually thinking the other day that most of the score for _Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone_ sounds like it was lifted straight out of _Jurassic Park_, with the exception of the few original moments.

And then, of course, it seems that Williams wrote very little new music for _Chamber of Secrets_, as much of what they used for it was re-cycled from the first film.

Yeah, I’d say Williams is way past original these days. I’ve never been a big fan, and I think he’s always gotten his best ideas from other works, but his last few films (_Harry Potter_, _Star Wars_) have been far less than stellar.
