In addition to the Patil twins, Regulus Black was in Slytherin, while Sirius was in Gryffindor.
I like your idea about bringing in professors from those two schools, but Viktor Krum and Fleur Delacour were students.
So they were, but they were 7th years (I think) when Harry was a 4th year, so they are now graduates with a couple years under their belts.
Yes, Remember, Sirius’ family were all Slytherins, including his brother. However, he was a Gryffindor.
I agree. I think part of the lesson is that inaddition occulmency, Harry needs to learn to cast spells without saying them out loud.
As well as a new Head of Griffindor House. I’m already on record as saying that’s going to be Hagrid.
Now that I think of it, there is another piece of evidence that indicates that Harry won’t be attending Hogwarts in DH: JKR has admitted that she had Luna do the commentary of the second Quidditch match in HBP because that was to be the last Quidditch match in the series.
Now, that’s hardly overwhelming evidence – Harry could resign as Seeker for lack of time, or the Inter-House Quidditch Tournament could be canceled – but I think that it’s a telling piece of evidence.
Or she could just not write about the games, if there’s other more important stuff to worry about.
I agree, Hagrid will be head of Gryffindor.
I can’t say I agree with this (by and large), how many students grow up wanting to be Hufflepuffs?
On another topic: I think that Harry will be at Hogwarts, at least in some capacity. JKR has spent a lot of litterary real estate describing this school to us and I can’t see her leaving it behind in her final book in the series.
Depends on how you see Hufflepuffs. At times they are portrayed to be the dregs of the school, but at others they are seen as valuing equality and fairness. A house full of people who hold in great esteem the basic pillars of democracy is certainly something one would not be ashamed to be a part of.
