Just wanted to point out…the “virtual child porn” law discussed herein only dealt with visual images, not text. And like a couple other posters, I always assumed that slashfic writers “aged” the characters to a more suitable age. A good number of the Harry/Draco stories specificy that they take place _after_ Hogwarts. Err…so they tell me. 🙂 ---

Right, there is a HUGE audience for slash in the Buffy fandom. Every single author and fan I know is a straight female. The only lesbian I know rights really hot het fic—Spike/Buffy. ---

I have been reliably informed there are /squid slash pairings in HP fanfic. I am not aware if the age of the squid is stated (nor what a legal age is considered to be for non-humans) Feel free to go insane now.
