She’s referenced several times as a Muggle, but then she and his Dad met at Hogwarts. What’s up with that? My husband thinks that people saying she’s a Muggle are insulting her as non-wizard-born. I think that in that case, they would have used a perjorative term like Mudblood, rather than Muggle, which is merely descriptive. ---

I can think of several instances where she’s called a mudblood. Anyway, Lily was definitely a muggle-born witch. ---

I can think of cleverer things for evil masterminds to do than call the mom of The Boy Who Survived a mudblood… he’s a little twitchy at the best of times… ---

True enough. But doesn’t the boy have a RIGHT to be at this point? Lily Potter is a witch who comes from a muggle family. Exactly like Hermione Granger. Nothing more to it than that. ---
